LaSalle Network is in search of a
Logistics Coordinator for one of our leading clients in the CPG/Food & Beverage industries. This role is responsible for managing logistics activities, including purchase order entry, shipment tracking, customs clearance, and transportation scheduling to ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will be a forward-thinking problem solver with strong attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and excellent communication skills.
Logistics Coordinator Responsibilities: - Process and manage purchase orders for imports from Australian suppliers and other vendors
- Ensure order accuracy and timeliness by tracking shipments and proactively addressing delays
- Communicate vessel schedules and shipment updates to inbound warehouses ahead of arrivals
- Coordinate USDA inspections, customs clearance, and warehouse deliveries to maintain compliance
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies by working closely with internal teams
- Maintain and share missing document lists with suppliers to ensure timely receipt
- File and manage necessary import paperwork (ISF, TRQ) before shipments arrive
- Update logistics tracking details in Syspro and Translution to maintain accurate inventory records
- Serve as the primary point of contact for inbound orders, documentation, and scheduling
- Provide timely updates to customers regarding shipping and arrival schedules
- Monitor and track demurrage and detention to minimize extra costs and ensure smooth operations
- Follow up on inspections and coordinate shipments to meet customer deadlines
- Process customer claims and ensure prompt resolution of any shipping or delivery issues
- Analyze logistics processes and suggest improvements for operational efficiency
- Address and resolve shipping or receiving issues by working closely with warehouses, carriers, and customers
- Assist sales staff and internal teams with logistics-related inquiries and tasks
Logistics Coordinator Requirements: - Experience in refrigerated warehousing and protein imports preferred
- Strong understanding of order entry, inbound/outbound scheduling, and logistics tracking
- Knowledge of import regulations and documentation processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration across teams
- Problem-solving skills to address logistical and operational challenges
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
