Job Description

We're seeking a talented and driven Senior Actuarial Consultant to join our team. You'll play a crucial role in supporting variable annuity asset liability management strategy and corporate development. This is your chance to shine as you lead the company-wide adoption of cutting-edge tools and methodologies for statutory reporting and risk management. This role can be based in Charlotte, NC (hybrid) or fully remote.

What You'll Do:

Risk Management Champion: Support the hedging and risk management of variable annuities, fixed annuities, and structured indexed annuities.
Innovation Leader: Drive the implementation of advanced tools for company-wide statutory and capital reporting.
Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with stakeholders to define business specifications, manage project progress, and ensure seamless implementation.
Impactful Analysis: Communicate the impact of new tools and methodologies on various product lines.
Problem Solver: Use your quantitative analysis skills to solve risk management issues in real-time.
Regulatory Expertise: Stay up-to-date on reporting metrics and regulatory changes, understanding their impact on capital and risk management.
Programming Prowess: Utilize your advanced programming skills in languages like Python (strongly preferred), SQL, C++, etc.
Relationship Builder: Develop strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
What You'll Bring:

Educational Foundation: Degree in mathematics, statistics, or actuarial science.
Actuarial Credentials: Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA), with Fellowship (FSA) preferred.
Programming Skills: Strong computing and programming skills, with experience in Python (strongly preferred), Matlab, VBA, SQL, C++, etc.
Experience: Prior experience with similar tools and big data analysis is a plus.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to clearly articulate complex technical concepts.
Positive Attitude: A positive attitude and eagerness to learn and grow.
Adaptability: Ability to adjust to changing business priorities and deadlines.
