Overview:

Security Officer – InterContinental Seattle Bellevue

InterContinental Bellevue at The Avenue is seeking a professional, service-oriented unarmed Security Officer to join our team. As a guardian of our luxury property, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our guests, colleagues, and assets—all while delivering exceptional hospitality.

No two days are the same, but you’ll mainly:

  • Providing a warm, welcoming presence while maintaining a secure environment.
  • Conducting regular patrols of the hotel to ensure guest and staff safety.
  • Responding swiftly and professionally to incidents, emergencies, and guest concerns.
  • Enforcing hotel security policies and procedures with a guest-focused approach.
  • Managing and documenting guest and employee incidents, including accidents, lock issues, noise complaints, and security concerns.
  • Supporting the implementation of preventive safety and security programs, including emergency procedures training.
  • Assisting with medical emergencies and administering first aid when necessary.
  • Collaborating with Hotel and Residential teams to create a safe and seamless luxury experience.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Must be able to work evenings and weekends.
Qualifications:

What We’re Looking For:

  • Exceptional customer service skills – a friendly, professional demeanor is a must.
  • A positive and proactive attitude – team-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Physical endurance – ability to walk and stand for extended periods.
  • CPR/AED certification – required for emergency response situations.
  • Previous experience in security, CCTV, and access management control.
  • Prior hospitality experience is a plus, but a service-driven mindset is key!

The compensation for this position is $25.00-27.00/hour, depending on experience.
