Job Title: Quality/Test Engineer 2Job Description The primary role of a Quality/Test Engineer 2 is to research and test the design functionality and maintenance of product equipment systems and processes, and to develop quality standards. This role requires the ability to read and interpret blueprints, and to evaluate product integrity and standards. Responsibilities + Devise sampling procedures and design and develop forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data. + Establish programs to evaluate the precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing, measurement, and analytical equipment and facilities. + Write training material and conduct training sessions on quality control activities. + Specialize in areas of quality control engineering such as design, incoming material process control, product evaluation, product reliability, inventory control, metrology, automated testing, software research and development, and administrative application. Essential Skills + Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem-solving abilities. + Ability to work as a team player and attention to detail. + Basic ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports. + Previous experience with computer applications and software related to the engineering field, such as Computer Aided Design (CAD). Additional Skills & Qualifications + Bachelor's degree in engineering required. + 2-4 years of experience in software quality, new product introduction (NPI) processes, and product support. + Experience with Linux, SQL Server, TCP/IP networking, and Microsoft client and server platforms. + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Mining Engineering preferred. Work Environment This position is based at the Tucson Mining Center, a state-of-the-art, brand new facility. The Tucson location supports the Large Mining Truck division, offering ample opportunities to learn and advance within the company. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
