Outside Golf Operations Manager
Golf Course in Fort Myers, Florida is looking for an Outside Golf Operations Manager.
Position Overview:
The function of this position is to manage the daily business of golf operations and to convey a vibrant and friendly golf experience for members, guests and staff.
Responsibilities and duties are listed below as guidelines and are not limited to the following:
• Participate in staffing hires and supervision of staff of the Pro Shop, Cart Barn, Ranger, and Starter positions.
• Assist in preparing employee schedules and bi-weekly payroll summaries.
• Prepare, organize, and conduct functions of league play, tournaments, and outside groups, coordinating with the Restaurant Manager, Men’s and Women’s Leagues, special tournaments, and outside group functions.
• Thoroughly familiarize oneself with Golf Genius and utilize its features to maximize league play, prizes, placements, etc.
• Load tee sheets on the computer and post them on the website weekly.
• Maintain the golf information on the website.
• Manage and maintain merchandising, supplies, and inventory.
• Assist with invoices, payments, and emails.
• Manage rates and fees through EZ Tee Pro.
• Work in the Pro Shop as backup to staff, including checking in golfers, sales of merchandise, and scheduling tee times.
• Assist in USGA/GHIN system clean-up.
• Participate in member golf activities where appropriate and needed, potentially providing golf instruction and clinics to members.
• Handle all other responsibilities as deemed appropriate for this position and as needed.
Requirements:
A love of golf and a strong knowledge of technology is required, plus the ability to easily interact with the golf community.
Golf Genious Experience along with a strong knowledge of Handicaping systems is a must.
Tournament and league prep will be part of the dailey duties.
