Job Description:

Eden Organic Pasta Company 9104 Culver St., Detroit

Position: Machine Operator / Pasta Maker
Reports to: General Manager, Eden Organic Pasta Company

Duties and Responsibilities:

• A proficient a team member knowledgeable about food safety and sanitation, and GMPs.
• Familiarity with quality control procedures for production and company operations.
• Skilled operation of pasta making and associated equipment.
• Perform operations consistent with facility Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Conscientiously handle inventory to avoid damage or adulteration.
• Produce finished product that reliably meets specifications.
• Monitor all aspects of the facility as it relates to production and accuracy.
• Accurately complete daily production batch record entries.
• Help in the maintenance and overall condition of the facility, equipment, and inventory in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain an organized and clean workspace.
• Safe operation of equipment, safety first.
• Anticipate and communicate necessities required for production.

Job Requirements:

• Education sufficient to carry out assigned responsibilities.
• Commitment to quality and a desire to learn the art of pasta making.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds waist high, intermittently.
• Pass a pre-placement physical.
