We’re seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to provide high-level support in a remote environment. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proactive problem-solving. Responsibilities include case management, document preparation, legal research, and deadline tracking, all within a virtual, fast-paced legal setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct legal research and summarize findings for attorney review
Draft, proofread, and organize legal documents, including pleadings, contracts, and correspondence
Manage case files, calendars, and deadlines
Support discovery efforts, including drafting requests, managing responses, and organizing production
Prepare materials for hearings, depositions, and trial
File documents with courts and agencies accurately and in a timely manner
Communicate professionally with clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel
Assist in interviewing clients and witnesses to gather case-relevant information
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of experience as a paralegal or legal assistant
Strong knowledge of legal procedures, terminology, and documentation
Proven ability to manage multiple cases and meet strict deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Proficient in legal research tools; experience with case management software a plus
