Job Overview:

Gottstein Corporation is seeking a highly skilled and innovative Industrial Mechanical Engineer to join our team. This position involves the design, development, and improvement of manufacturing processes, equipment, and systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering with a focus on industrial applications and manufacturing efficiencies.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Process Optimization: Design and develop efficient manufacturing processes and equipment. Analyze workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout to optimize manufacturing operations.
  • Equipment Design: Develop and enhance equipment used in manufacturing processes, ensuring they meet safety standards and operational requirements.
  • Project Management: Lead projects from concept through to implementation, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to reduce defects and improve product quality. Monitor and adjust processes as needed to meet quality standards.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other engineers, designers, and production staff to integrate new systems and processes.
  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously seek technological and process improvements to enhance manufacturing efficiency and product quality.
  • Documentation: Prepare and maintain detailed documentation for all designs, modifications, and associated processes.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in mechanical or manufacturing engineering, particularly in an industrial setting.
  • Certifications: Professional Engineer (PE) license or Lean Six Sigma certification is advantageous.
  • Skills:
  • Proficient in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and engineering analysis tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent project management capabilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, which may involve exposure to noise, heat, and other industrial conditions.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time.

Work Environment:

  • Industrial Mechanical Engineers typically work in an office environment but may also spend time in manufacturing facilities and construction sites to oversee the implementation of their designs. They may be required to travel to client sites or suppliers as part of their job responsibilities.

Working Conditions:
