About the Role:

We are seeking a professional and proactive Human Resources Assistant to support our HR department and management team in recruitment, onboarding, payroll processing, and administrative HR functions. This is a key position that helps uphold our company standards, supports our team culture, and enhances employee relations through excellent service and organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with HR and management on staffing needs and job postings.
• Review applications, pre-screen candidates, and schedule interviews.
• Coordinate interview calendars and update candidate statuses in Paychex HRIS.
• May conduct new hire orientation and onboarding (Paychex, Aloha, Hotschedules).
• Maintain accurate and organized employee records (both digital and physical).
• Process bi-weekly payroll including manual calculations and tip allocations.
• Submit WOTC documentation and complete E-Verify for new hires.
• Perform general HR administrative tasks, including filing and reception rotation.
• Communicate effectively across departments using Microsoft Teams.
• Support other HR projects and duties as assigned.

What You Bring:

• 2+ years of experience in HR, preferably in a fast-paced or hospitality environment.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across all levels.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with QuickBooks and HRIS/payroll systems (e.g., Paychex).
• Knowledge of HR principles and employment regulations.
• Preferred: Food Safety certification and/or HR-related degree or certification.
