Job Description:

Geneva at State Street Bank refers to a proprietary investment management platform used by the bank. It's a portfolio management and reporting system designed for asset managers, hedge funds, and other financial institutions. The Geneva platform offers a range of functionalities, including:

1. Portfolio Management: It helps firms manage their investment portfolios by tracking positions, performance, and risk metrics.
2. Trade Processing: Geneva automates and streamlines trade processing and settlement, ensuring that trades are executed efficiently and accurately.
3. Accounting and Reporting: It provides robust accounting, reconciliation, and performance reporting tools, enabling firms to create detailed reports and monitor financial performance in real time.
4. Risk Management: The platform includes features that help financial institutions assess and manage risks associated with their portfolios.
5. Data Management: Geneva can consolidate and manage large amounts of financial data, ensuring data integrity and supporting regulatory reporting requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, enhance, and maintain the Geneva platform.
• Write clean, efficient, and scalable code to support portfolio management, trade processing, and reporting functionalities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., product managers, business analysts) to design new features or optimize existing ones.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in the system.
• Participate in testing and validation of new features or updates.
• Maintain a high standard of code quality, documentation, and testing.

Skills:

• Proficiency in languages like Java, Python, or C++.
• Familiarity with database management systems (e.g., SQL, Oracle).
• Experience with cloud services or data management tools.
• Understanding of financial services, particularly portfolio management or risk management.
