Job Description

Opportunity:
Seeking a Front-End Web UI Engineer to develop an interactive interface for visualizing and filtering cryo-ET dataset metadata. This role requires strong front-end expertise and some backend knowledge for seamless data communication. The contract is for three months, with potential extension.
Pay Rate: $55-$60/hr
Key Responsibilities:
Develop a Web UI for displaying raw and processed dataset metadata.
Implement interactive filtering features using Aretomo3 metadata.
Collaborate with backend developers for smooth data integration.
Ensure cross-browser compatibility and responsiveness.
Document code for maintainability and future enhancements.
Qualifications & Skills:
1+ years of experience in front-end development.
Proficiency in JavaScript, Next.js (preferred), React.js, Vue.js, HTML, and CSS.
Experience with data visualization libraries (D3.js, Chart.js, ECharts, or Plotly.js).
Knowledge of RESTful API integration and backend services.
Experience with Python/Django (a plus).
Familiarity with Git and version control best practices.
Background in scientific or metadata-heavy applications (a plus).
Strong problem-solving and independent work capabilities.
Work Environment:
Onsite in Redwood City, CA, in a collaborative office setting, with occasional interaction with team members in labs, shipping, and reception areas.
