Description:
Exciting opportunity for a Data Analyst/Scientist in New York, NY OR Boston, MA (Hybrid, 3 days/week onsite). In this role, you will
lead the MarTech & product analytics team to drive digital data strategy, tagging, marketing execution, web analytics, insights, and testing.
Key responsibilities include:
- Implementing tags in mobile apps and websites for analytics
- Querying digital data and building insights for site optimization
- Visitor profiling and look-a-like targeting
- Managing data syndication via APIs with real-time systems
- Defining and executing digital tagging, analytics, and insights across enterprise assets
- Bridging streaming digital data with 1st/3rd party data to build insights that drive growth
- Partnering closely with Marketing, Product Owners, Data & Analytics teams, and key stakeholders
- Leading complex projects with distributed vendor teams
- Fostering a culture of data literacy, privacy, and governance
Responsibilities: - Support future state data/analytics strategy informed by digitization and data-driven decision making
- Run concurrent digital marketing and product analytics projects
- Analyze website and mobile app data (traffic sources, patterns, trends, anomalies)
- Create data-driven recommendations to improve business performance
- Disseminate insights with visual storytelling/dashboards
- Build advanced analytics (propensity modeling, recommendation engines, clustering, ML techniques)
- Ensure high standards for data privacy and control
Requirements: Qualifications: - 5-7 years\' experience in tag management, digital marketing, and/or digital data analysis
- Understanding of streaming digital data, SDKs, digital marketing channels, Customer Data Platforms, and MarTech tools
- Experience developing/auditing/testing tags in JavaScript or jQuery
- Experience with server-side data and 3rd party integrations (relevant cloud platforms: AWS Athena, Redshift, Google Cloud Platform, BigQuery)
- Experience with click/event streaming data and session-level (web/mobile) analysis
- Hands-on coding to join disparate datasets
- Experience with ad spend optimization, A/B testing, multi-touch attribution methodologies
Skills: - Strong SQL; knowledge of tag management systems (Tealium IQ, Adobe Tag Manager)
- Ability to test/validate tags, familiarity with CMS
- JavaScript, jQuery, 3rd party APIs
- Working knowledge of Google Analytics 4 (GA)
- Ability to create/manage dashboards and reports in GA; goal funnel setup
- Segmentation and attribution in Data Studio
- Experience with dashboarding tools (Quicksight, Looker, PowerBI, Tableau)
- Data visualization and interactive dashboards
- Hypothesis formulation/testing
Core Requirements: - 5+ years experience
- Tagging & Data Layer Implementation (GTM, Tealium)
- Martech tool/platform integration (CDPs, ESPs, CRMs)
- Customer journey mapping & segmentation
- Implementation/testing of API solutions
