Job Description

Job Title: Certified Surgical Assistant

Duties:

• Assist in surgical procedures by passing instruments and supplies to the surgeon.
• Perform surgical scrub duties, maintaining strict sterile conditions.
• Monitor and report any potential contamination during procedures.
• Maintain an accurate count of instruments and materials used during surgery.
• Assist with specimen handling and ensure proper documentation.
• Support postoperative room cleaning and equipment sterilization.
• Prepare medications and solutions under the supervision of a registered nurse.

Skills Required:

• Thorough understanding of operating room protocols and aseptic techniques.
• Ability to anticipate surgical team needs effectively.

Education:

• Certification in Operating Room Technology required.
• Prior operating room experience preferred.

Pay Range:

• Weekly: $1,850 - $2,500
• Monthly: $7,400 - $10,000
