POSITION SUMMARY

Citizen Sprout is a healthy and delicious school lunch delivery business serving schools across Los Angeles. We are looking for a highly organized, efficient, knowledgeable and communicative Catering Operations Manager to join our team as we embark on a rapid growth phase. This person will function as the core leader of our school accounts operations and responsibilities will rely heavily on leadership, communication and ownership. PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations and implementation of our school lunch distribution.
  • Liaise with 3rd party reusable container collection company to ensure all collections are happening effectively and per school expectations.
  • Lead, manage and communicate with all Citizen Sprout on-campus representatives.
  • Set distribution strategies per school based each school's unique needs.
  • Personally oversee effectiveness of all strategies on campus, identify areas for improvement and execute improvement strategies with your team.
  • Liaise daily with packing and expediting staff, kitchen manager and head chef to ensure on-time departures of meals and temperature control.
  • Oversee the hiring and training of new on-campus representatives.
  • Lead by example with a strong hospitality - lead, positive attitude.
  • Possess strong problem-solving ability in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Liaise with kitchen manager to accurately identify any changes, cancellations, last minute add ons to school lunch lists, execute changes.
  • Own the daily school reporting, cross-check lists with head expeditor, ensure all schools are receiving their correct and entire list of lunches for the day.
  • Ensure all dress codes are being met and and maintained by on-campus distributors.
  • Actively gain feedback from schools on distribution process and ensure all expectations are being met.
  • Possess excellent written and oral communication skills.

The duties listed above represent an outline of the responsibilities of this role. The role itself is not limited to the above and therefore requires flexibility on the part of the ideal candidate.

QUALIFICATIONS

Work Experience Required:

  • Minimum of three (3) years experience in a hands-on operations role in an account management related field.
  • Customer Service / Hospitality background is a huge plus.
  • Must have your own vehicle to visit accounts

Education:

  • College Degree from an accredited University

Knowledge Required:

  • Strong professional leadership skills are essential
  • Strong organizational and operations skills are essential.
  • Ideal candidate must possess exceptional written and oral business and customer - service related communication skills.
  • Bi-lingual a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of Excel a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 per year
