Assistant Golf Course Superintendent
Golf course in Nevada, Iowa is looking for an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent.
Position Overview:
Be an integral part of the course construction, and will be deeply involved in all phases including but not limited to, quality control of construction, grow-in, fertilization, mowing, irrigation audits and adjustments, and overall quality control. The maintenance department will be responsible for overseeing the construction and irrigation installation, and will take sole responsibility from the final grading on. The position will work closely with the Head Superintendent to build a staff throughout the year and into next spring. The position will be a hands-on leader, responsible for leading, directing, overseeing, assisting, training, and coaching the staff.
Requirements:
A degree in turf management or a related field of study.
Possess or have the ability to obtain an Iowa Pesticide Applicator’s license within 90 days of employment.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
3+ years of experience in a golf course managerial role or similar.
Ability to work weekends as needed and agreed upon with the Head Superintendent.

Data-driven individual with proficiency in computer use and ability to use Microsoft Office, Excel, Digital Job Board, software-based irrigation software, etc.
Compensation:
$50,000 – $70,000 per year.
