Job Specifications:

  • Outlet: Red Sky Golf Club
  • The budgeted range starts at $60,000 - $70,000 . Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience
  • Shift & Schedule Availability: Full Time
  • Typical Hours: 5:30AM - 2:00PM

Job Summary

  • Supervises employees in all phases of golf course maintenance to include maintainance of all tees, fairways, greens, roughs and peripheral golf course areas.             
  • Manages daily course preparations for both member/guest and tournament play.
  • Assists in personnel management, evaluation, employee safety, personnel discipline and is often responsible for daily work scheduling based on professional interpretation.
  • Instructs/trains employees on the proper operation and care of all equipment; supervises pesticide applications and/or operates and calibrates pesticide application equipment.
  • Supervises repairs, schedules watering, oversight of maintenance regarding irrigation systems and pumpstations

  • The assistant superintendent may serve in the superintendent's capacity during his/her absence.
  • Quality control oversight

  • Operational training and documentation
  • Time and Labor reporting and input
  • Pesticide/fertilizer application, calibration and handling responsibilities
  • Irrigation scheduling, troubleshooting and repair work
  • Employee motivation
  • Winter plow duties
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

  • 2 or 4 year degree or professional degree equivlant in turf management, plant science or other similar agriculturally related degree/field of study
  • Minimum of three seasons/years of golf maintenance experience
  • Previous supervisory experience necessary
  • Valid drivers license and ability to obtain Colorado pesticide applicators license
  • basic computer operation- Word, Excel, powerPoint preferred.
  • English necessary- Any Spanish is helpful but not required

The expected pay range is $60,000 - $70,000. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
