Job Description

JOB OVERVIEW:
The Asset Resolution Analyst is responsible for the research and remediation required to resolve discrepancies identified in the daily reconciliation of client account holdings against FTP file-in records received from various transfer agents.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

  • Review daily internal reconciliation reports highlighting breaks between Equity Trust Company’s client account holdings and FTP file-in records from transfer agents.
  • Perform detailed research across multiple systems including workflow tools, trust accounting platforms, and data feeds to determine root causes of discrepancies.
  • Ensure research encompasses the full scope of each break scenario and that resolution steps are comprehensive, accurate, and compliant with regulatory and tax considerations.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and external transfer agents to validate data and remediate breaks in a timely manner.
  • Maintain clear and professional communication with all stakeholders, including internal teams, clients, and third-party providers, regarding resolution progress and outcomes.
  • Provide regular updates to Supervisors on the status of outstanding breaks and escalate complex issues as needed.
  • Monitor recurring issues and identify trends to recommend process improvements and reduce future reconciliation breaks.
  • Support other operational teams during periods of high volume or when capacity allows.
  • Assist in training new team members or cross-functional staff on reconciliation and resolution procedures.
  • Demonstrate initiative, accountability, and a commitment to data integrity and client service.
  • Complete assigned projects and perform other duties as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in banking and/or financial services operations preferred.
  • Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, or related field preferred.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

To be successful in this role, you should have experience with and an understanding of the following:

  • Demonstrated success in problem solving.
  • Experience with Express and Innotrust transaction recognition and processing preferred.
  • Experience in navigating multiple systems simultaneously.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced level proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on providing high-quality service.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time.

This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to speak and hear. The associate is frequently required to sit for extended periods of time, as well as stand, walk, use hands and fingers, and reach with hands and arms. This job requires the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
