2nd Assistant Golf Course Superintendent
Golf Course in Cashiers, North Carolina is looking for a 2nd Assistant Golf Course Superintendent.
Position Overview:
Work closely with the Superintendent and other Assistants in all facets of the job to provide a better understanding of golf course practices, communication, time management, leadership and teamwork. Daily responsibilities include but are not limited to fertilizer and pesticide applications, IPM and scouting, water management, course set-up, irrigation repair and installation, and daily course maintenance. The goal of this position is to develop a steward of sustainable golf course management and provide the candidate with the foundational skills, network and philosophies to succeed as a world class superintendent.
Requirements:
Certificate or 2-4 year degree in Turfgrass Management or similar.
Must have prior golf course experience.
Massachusetts applicator license or the ability to obtain within 6-9 months.
Pesticide application experience.
Compensation:
$22 – $24 per hour.
